Luton is home to the University of Bedfordshire, which provides businesses and entrepreneurs with direct support through its dedicated business school.
Barnfield College and Luton Sixth Form work collaboratively with employers to design and deliver vocational and academic courses that meet the skills needs of businesses.

There are many opportunities for businesses to and employees to access additional training from apprenticeships to adult learning courses.
Every student gets the best possible teaching and support to go on to university, apprenticeships or employment.
Apprenticeships
The Council’s Apprenticeship Brokerage Service supports both SMEs and large organisations within Luton to either upskill existing staff or train new staff by utilising unspent Apprenticeship Levy from within Luton.

Our Passport to employment programmes provide businesses with a cost-effective and targeted approach to recruitment.
You highlighting the skills and behaviours that you need, such as minimum levels of maths, English and ICT aptitude, communication, teamwork, initiative or driving licenses and CSCS cards. In return we source interview-ready talent from our adult learners.
