For the sixth consecutive year, Luton has been awarded the Purple Flag. This confers a global mark of excellence in managing a vibrant and safe nightlife in town and city centres. It is given to areas that offer a diverse range of entertainment, dining, and culture, while ensuring visitor safety. The recognition this brings celebrates the dedication of Luton businesses and partners, who are working alongside Luton BID and the council to make Luton’s nightlife an enjoyable experience for all.
With ambitious plans for the town’s development, and new sites on the horizon at The Stage and Power Court, the dedication to a thriving night time economy can be seen. These developments will bring new entertainment choices that complement our existing cultural highlights like the Hat Factory and the world-renowned jazz venue, The Bear Club. Other Luton venues are also rolling out new plans – in the last month, we have seen live music events in the town centre, in conjunction with The Castle and The Culture Trust. As we head into the festive party season, it’s good to know that a great night out in Luton is on the cards.
